Vehicle Description 1966 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed Mileage - Unknown - Truck was restored before I purchased it.
Odometer reads 66K but not accurate.
I don't know who did the restoration or when it was done.
Paint is good.
No dents or damage anywhere.
One very small spot of rust just starting on the body at the lower left corner of the cab.
There's some rust on the underside of the cab that has been partially patched - not by me.
Starts and runs great.
It starts on the coldest (single digit) days in the winter.
I've also driven it in very hot weather (90's) and it does not overheat.
Interior also restored.
Tires are good and no weather cracking.
I don't know how many miles are on them as they were on when I purchased.
Engine - Chevy 350 V8 - I don't know miles on the engine.
I'm not a mechanic, but a mechanic friend thinks the engine is from the late 1970s.
It has a Quadrajet Carb with electric choke.
The parts mentioned for the tune-up below line up with a 1978 350 V8 in a Chevy pick-up or Suburban.
It runs strong, doesn't knock, no noise and does not smoke.
I'm not afraid to drive it anywhere - it's dependable.
Transmission - 3 speed automatic.
Shifts smoothly.
No power brakes or steering.
Updates I've done:
Relocated gas tank from inside cab to under bed in rear.
2021 Installed 3-point safety belts.
2021 New glove box.
2021 Replace heater/defroster duct piping.
2021 New starter - July 22 New battery - July 22 New plugs & plug wires New distributor cap and rotor.
