Position Summary Produces laser cuts for fabrication processes by setting up, programming, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine in a safe, productive manner, ensuring all quality standards are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities:
Operates single or multiple CNC laser cutting machine, including loading raw material and ensuring quality by maintaining focal point adjustment, feed rate, power, and other parameters Ensures machine optics are maintained by performing tests and procedures, including tape shots, lens focusing, lens cleaning, nozzle cleaning, and replacement of any worn items Labels finished parts accurately and delivers them to designated areas Monitors laser operations to ensure machine is functioning properly and safely; records machine code errors and communicates performance issues to the supervisor Uses inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures Deburrs and cleans parts Maintains quality, productivity, and safety records Maintains supplies and performs regular preventive maintenance Assists other operators with operating, inspecting, and cleaning machines and parts Maintains cleanliness of work area Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred Minimum of 2 years of CNC operating experience Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good time management skills Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines Team-oriented and collaborative LOTO certification required Crane operation certification required Forklift operation certification required #LI-DNP.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
