Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, compassionate, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
All potential candidates must be able to perform moderate physical labor in a fast-paced facility and should be aware that this position may expose you to animal bodily fluids, including but not limited to blood, urine, and fecal matter.
Job Duties:
Maintain Hobart Animal Clinic's standards of cleaning and sanitation, including entire Boarding and Grooming facility and Clinic grounds Provide quality care to all pets visiting the facility--provide fresh bedding, food, water, and other essential care Maintain specific and accurate medical records.
Accurately administer medications Ability to recognize any unusual conditions or abnormal behavior of pets visiting our facility and promptly report findings to Kennel Manager, Lead Kennel Assistant, or Veterinarian depending on severity Responsible for helping receptionists admit and release pets in our facility, including sending home all belongings with pets at departure Ensure all pets visiting facility maintain cleanly appearance Responsible for performing baths and toenail trims as directed Responsible for handling all breeds and sizes of dogs AND cats Ability to take initiative to perform tasks independently and as a team Maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers Possess proper animal restraint and handling skills Other duties assigned as required Candidates with experience in similar field preferred Job Types:
