Insurance and Billing Specialist

This position requires accuracy, thoroughness and good understanding of practice policies and insurance procedures, while adhering to the highest standards of billing practices.
Job Duties:
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, must have the ability to communicate with all staff members and Physicians; work as a positive team member Ensure all billing and collection functions are handled thoroughly and professionally.
Performs regular audits of insurance follow up, patient collections, insurance/cash posting and transaction posting ensuring proficiency of staff.
Performs Insurance transactions, including processing electronic insurance payments, transmit insurance claims, review payments and refund requests; balancing accounts.
Strong mathematical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify problems.
